Our client a leading betting & gaming company in Gibraltar is looking for a Data Engineer to join their talented team.

As the Data Engineer you  will work on the platform team, on a number of exciting projects across product performance & decision support domains.

It can include building real time data pipelines, deploying anomaly detection / alerting framework, creating companywide metrics repository & building tools for improving company wide productivity with data.  You will learn and advance your analytical skills, like; machine learning, experimental design and lots more..

Essential Skills:

Proven software engineer - understands functional programming

At least 2, years of industry experience in a data contexts

At least 5 years, in software development

Develop analytical frameworks & metrics 

Identify insights that are actionable to support strategic decision making

Working knowledge of SQL

Strong Quantitive background

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

BS/MS/PHD in Computer Science or related field is ideal.

Team player and able to work autonomously 

Technical expertise in data mining

Design, build & launch extremely efficient & reliable data pipelines to move data

Open source technologies, such as Kafka, AWS, Hadoop, Redshift, Presto, Hive, Spark & Cassandra.

Strong understanding of distributed systems, linear models, decision trees, common algorithms..
